Welcome to Mrs. Conti's ALL DAY UPK Website!

We are very excited to have your child with us to experience UPK.
There is so much we will do and learn together through this school year.

This is my 13th year teaching at RHJ.  I worked as a Teaching Assistant in the AIS Math Department for three years and then taught Fourth Grade for two years.  I also taught a year of Remote Science in grades 4-6 and did consultant teaching for Science in grades 4-6.  Currently, this is my sixth year teaching UPK.  I graduated from JCC and SUNY Fredonia with a Bachelors Degree in Childhood Education.  I completed my Masters Degree through Edinboro University in Special Education and am certified to teach birth through sixth grade.

Some things to think about for your child(ren) in class:
When you are choosing clothes for you child, please have them wear comfortable clothing that they can manage themselves. You may want to choose play clothes.  It is okay to avoid clothing with snaps, especially if children have a hard time doing the buttons themselves.  These are great skills to be working on at home, along with helping to teach your child how to put on their coats independently.  We do work on buttoning, zipping and snapping as much as possible, but carrying these skills over at home will greatly help!

We can get very messy in here and even though we use art smocks, sometimes it doesn't cover every area. Sneakers, loafers,  or "Mary Jane" type shoes are recommended.  We are very active and we want everyone to be safe.  Flip flops, sandles, croc's, and other type of footwear really isn't appropriate for our classroom.

I'm looking forward to a year of fun and exciting new adventures!

I check my Remind App, Private UPK Facebook Group, and email on a daily basis.  Information about ways to utilize these will be sent out the first week of school.

    Sincerely,

    Mrs. Conti :)
