Capital Improvement Project 2023
On December 12, 2023, District voters approved Capital Improvement Project 2023. The project encompasses necessary repairs and upgrades to facilities on both the RHJ Elementary and MS/HS campuses. Capital Improvement Project 2021
May 2021, the voters approved our next Capital Improvement Project 2021 which will again be led by Young and Wright Architectural. Work on this project is slated to begin Summer 2023 due to COVID delays and includes the following:

Complete Pool Renovation
Paving back parking lot (off Prospect St)
Track- fill cracks/patch surface
Provide Cooling for Wiring Closet
RHJ
Paving upper parking and front Loop
Add air conditioning to activity center rooms to fix the condensation issue
Replace flooring to classrooms adjacent to the activity center due to condensation issues
Classroom renovations-9 classrooms (Kindergarten/First Grade Hallway)
Update fire alarm in same wing noted above
Update electrical panels
Bus Storage
Allowance to repair existing CMU walls/building structure
Capital Improvement Project 2019
Young and Wright Architectural led our district through this capital improvement project. This work included:

Improve ventilation and daylighting by replacing classroom blinds and adding window screens

Renovate 4th, 5th, and 6th-grade classrooms with new flooring, paint, and cabinetry
Update the gymnasium by installing a new floor, wall pads, basketball hoops, and repairing deteriorating masonry
Energy Performance Contract
Trane led our district through the energy performance contract. Voters approved an additional 10% of aid to be received from the New York State Education Department. Work was completed in summer 2019 and allowed us to replace our entire boiler room at the MS/HS, replace lighting, and complete building envelope items.
Capital Outlay Project 2023
The 2022-2023 budget approved by the voters (May 2022) includes $100,000 for a capital outlay project to replace 7 interior doors in the MS/HS. Young and Wright Architectural is also the architectural firm for this project. Work will begin in the 2022-2023 school year.
Capital Outlay Project 2022
The 2021-2022 budget approved by the voters (May 2021) includes $100,000 for a capital outlay project to replace 5 exterior doors in the MS/HS. Young and Wright Architectural is also the architectural firm for this project.
Capital Outlay Project 2021
The 2020-2021 budget approved by the voters (May 2020) included $100,000 for a capital outlay project to replace flooring in 8 MS/HS classrooms. Young and Wright Architectural was the architectural firm for this project.
Capital Outlay Project 2020
The 2019-2020 budget approved by the voters (May 2019) includes $100,000 for a capital outlay project to complete masonry work at the MS/HS. Young and Wright Architectural is also the architectural firm for this project. Work will begin on June 15, 2020.
