12/7/2020 - Attention in-person learning families: Please take this important COVID testing survey before Thursday, December 10

Attention in-person learning families: Although our area is not currently designated as a COVID micro-cluster by the state, we want to be as prepared as possible should that occur in the future. If we were to move into one of the micro-cluster zones, random testing of a percentage of our students and staff is a necessary part of our school remaining in-person. We are told that the testing will be of the non-invasive type, (a lower nostril swab instead of a long swab up into the sinus cavity).

To assist us in planning, we need input from the parents of all of our in-person students regarding your willingness to have your children included in random sample testing so that we are able to keep the school open. Please click on the link below to answer the two-question survey for each of your in-person students before Thursday, December 10, at 2:00 p.m. if possible.

Effective tomorrow, March 24, we will be distributing meals on Tuesdays and Fridays only. The Tuesday package will include breakfast and lunches for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The Friday package will include breakfast and lunches for Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Times and locations of meal deliveries will remain unchanged. We will still be delivering to Pine Bluff and Water Street Trailer Parks between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. and will also have a meal bag pickup location set up outside of the High School from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

We are also asking families to place a tote or plastic box with a lid at your front door for us to deliver food and instructional packets. This will ensure that the deliveries are kept dry. Again, those deliveries will be made on Tuesdays and Fridays only.

    Thank you.

3/23/2020 - Child Care Survey for Essential Service Providers

    Dear Parents -

The COVID-19 impact on our schools and communities is rapidly changing by the minute. Therefore, our county action plans and response must evolve accordingly. As we continue our preparations to serve children and families we need to assess the child care needs of our families, especially those families providing essential services such as: Essential Healthcare Services, Child Welfare, First Responders, Food Manufactures, Transportation, Construction and Manufacturing, and Non Profit and Social Service Agencies. Financial assistance will be made available to families who are considered essential to the health and safety of the community.  In order to assess the need for child care in Chautauqua County we are asking families to complete the survey linked below.

Families who are considered essential workers and cannot be excused from work are encouraged to contact the Child Care Council Resource and Referral Specialist who can assist with finding child care. You may reach out to the Child Care Council for any child care needs at 1-800-424-4532 or childcare@chautopp.org.

    Thank you.
