*Health Education is defined as; complete physical, mental, and social well being, not

   merely the absence of disease.

*Health Education has evolved throughout the years.  Just 100 years ago a person was

  considered healthy as long as they could physically handle the work that was necessary

   to their survival.  Health Education now incorporates a diversity of focal points,

   centering around the Health Triangle, and its’ components of physical, mental, and

   social health.  Through class discussions, activities, research projects, current events,

   journal writings, and lecture our health education program will breakdown the

   components of the Health Triangle and improve the students literacy of Health

   Education.
