Saving in Other Word Processing Programs

  • FCS uses Microsoft Word 2010 as its word processing program.  If you create a paper at home and would like to also work on it here in school, but you do not have Word, you will need to save it in a format that Word will understand.  This format is called Rich Text Format.

To save a paper in Rich Text Format you will pull the file menu down to 'save as' and, in the lower part of the save window, there is a place where you can change the format (it may be called 'Format' or 'Save as type').  Select 'Rich Text Format' from the drop-down menu.

You may also save your paper to a usb drive or attach it to an e-mail using the following address:
If you are using GAFE, you may also Share your paper with your teacher.
