Welcome to Mr. Laska's home page. This web site contains information for students in Geometry, Precalculus, and Calculus and their parents. Click a link to the left to begin. List of required school supplies for all classes:
- Pencils or pens
- Notebook paper (students usually run out around Christmas - buy in bulk!)
- Graph paper (for Geometry students, in particular)
- 3-ring binder with three section dividers (Notes, Homework, Tests)
- A graphing calculator (see below)
On graphing calculators:
I will be using the TI-83/TI-84 as the basis for instruction in the classroom, so I would strongly urge my students to purchase either of those calculators (the TI-83 is being phased out but is still perfectly fine to use for class - it is operationally identical to the TI-84). If you choose to purchase another brand of calculator, I will do my best to help; however, in-class demonstrations could be more challenging because the operational details will differ (sometimes greatly).
