October is Fire Safety month and we will be discussing this information throughout the next weeks.
Members of the Frewsburg and Kennedy Fire Departments and Sparky the Fire Dog visited and discussed 5 rules they want the boys and girls to learn.
Ask your child if they remember the rules:
1. Never play with fire (matches, lighters, fireworks, stoves, etc.)
2. Get out and Stay out.
3. Stop, drop, cover, and roll.
4. Have a family meeting place outside.
5. Crawl low, go slow.
The fire departments recommend practicing Exit Drills from your home during this month.
We have been practicing them at school
and on the bus!
Tuesday nights the Fire Department is open from 6:00 to 7:00 pm and they welcome visitors to discuss fire safety and check out the equipment.
