A Message from Mrs. Anderson………
The 2009-2010 school year has begun and we are excited to welcome our students in grades 7-12 to outstanding opportunities inside and outside of the classrooms. Our faculty is prepared for an excellent year, with a focus on high standards, positive learning experiences, strong character development, and safety for all of our students. Everyone is encouraged to take part in the many offerings of the district and to exhibit their “Bear Pride” as they represent their school in the classrooms, on the athletic fields, in musical productions, and in clubs or service organizations.
In addition to welcoming the seventh graders in the Class of 2015, we have several new members of our faculty and staff. Mr. Steven Hess joins the faculty to teach in our Business Department. Mrs. Tracey Goldstein will be working in the Guidance Office where she will have clerical and attendance duties, and Mrs. Yvonne Himes will be working with AV and our distance learning program. We are delighted to have these individuals joining an already outstanding faculty and staff.
Communication is the key to a student’s success, and I therefore encourage all parents to make use of the district website, where teachers’ homework assignments and e-mail addresses can be found. Additionally, announcements and upcoming school events will be showcased on the site. The Junior/Senior High School Open House will be held on Wednesday, September 16th, and I invite all parents and guardians to come in and meet our faculty members and hear about the year of learning they have planned for our students.
My office door is always open to the students and parents of the district. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions or concerns. I wish the students, parents, faculty, and staff an excellent and productive 2009-2010 school year!
